Data presented here should not be regarded as officially approved data, or validated statistics and neither GIZ, its partners nor presented cities should be held accountable. Even as data curation and quality assurance were applied, the data presented here, derives from multiple sources, such as individual primary data, actual measurement, field assessments, expert estimation, data from municipalities, secondary data. Thus its comparability is limited thereby. It should hence be noted that data is mainly collected and estimated by the concepts and definitions of the Waste Flow Diagram and Waste Wise Cities Tool, and this it might not be aligned by similar national legal concepts, regulations and requirements. Lastly, the WFD results should be regarded as estimation, and not as a factual evidence-based quantification method.
