This forum is your space to connect, collaborate, and contribute to improving solid waste management (SWM) globally. We’re excited to share that the Community of Practice will now host challenges designed to engage study teams, practitioners, and experts in solving real-world SWM problems.
How Challenges Work
- Check your email and the forum: Challenge details, objectives, and submission guidelines will be shared directly to your inbox and will also be available on the forum.
- Collaborate in the forum: Use this space to discuss ideas, brainstorm with peers, and refine your solutions.
- Share your solutions: Post your responses here or submit them via email, as outlined in the challenge instructions. Participants’ responses will be shared directly on the forum.
Each challenge is an opportunity to tackle pressing SWM issues while learning from others and highlighting your expertise.

What to Expect
- Recognition: Top contributors to challenges will be highlighted in the forum for their contributions to the SWM sector. Users are also encouraged to post their thoughts and ideas on any of the existing forum posts for a chance to win being highlighted too.
- Networking opportunities: Collaborate with SWM experts from around the world and expand your professional network.
