As it only briefly explains all the important steps, we have created a training course based on this video. For each session, you’ll find the relevant section of the training video, as well as a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation and other resources.
The training course consists of 14 sessions aimed at providing participants with a general understanding of the WFD, preparing teams to collect the necessary information in the field and calculating the results to present to clients. An overview of the training programme can be found here.

The User Manual provides an explanation of the WFD toolkit and in-depth guidance on how to apply it. This includes information on data collection issues, how to estimate plastic leakages, how to run scenarios, and how to visualise the waste flows. Decision trees and descriptive tables for each part of the solid waste management system facilitate the calculation of leakage potentials.
